Harrison Police Arrest Robbery Suspect Who Allegedly Stole 1,600 Rx Pills

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Police in Harrison arrested a 28-year-old Queens man in connection with Sunday's armed robbery of a pharmacy.

Police said that Astoria resident Christopher Johnson was charged in connection with Sunday's 8:35 a.m. robbery of 1,600 prescription pills at Trotta's Pharmacy on Halstead Avenue.

Police said that Johnson allegedly displayed a black handgun during the robbery. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Johnson was taken into police custody shortly after the reported robbery in the 400 block of Carroll Avenue in Mamaroneck. Police reported that the black handgun displayed during the alleged incident was recovered during the arrest.

Johnson was charged with a felony count of second-degree robbery. He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond. He is due back in Harrison Town Court on Tuesday, March 21.
