Three Westchester Men Charged In Stabbing Incident

Yonkers police were kept on the run with multiple calls overnight including multiple stabbings and a shooting incident.

The first incident took place around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday when members of the Yonkers Police Department were dispatched to the vicinity of 219 Nepperhan Ave. on a report of a physical dispute. Responding officers were then advised that a male had been stabbed and another male was in possession of a knife, said Lt. Patrick York.

Upon arrival, the officers requested medical assistance for the injured male and also detained three men at the scene. The victim of the stabbing was transported to a local area hospital where he was treated for non-life- threatening injuries. 

Further investigation determined that the three men who were detained were responsible for the stabbing including 30-year-old Noel Fernandez, 32-year-old Michael Soriano and 33-year-old Adel Ordonez. All three were charged with felony gang assault and are being held for arraignment, York said.

The case is being handled by the Westchester County District Attorney's Office.

The second incident was an armed robbery at 80 School St. around 9:45 p.m. Police say the incident is still under investigation.

The next report was of multiple shots fired at 59 Maple St., with several bullets piercing the wall of a first-floor apartment. Police are not releasing any details other than to say the incident is still under investigation, York said. 

The last incident was a woman who stabbed her boyfriend multiple on Palisades Avenue, York said. None of the injuries were life-threatening and he added that neither person was cooperating with police.
