Infant, mother hospitalized after Ridgefield crash

ONLY ON CVP: A 27-year-old Lodi woman and her 1-year-old child were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that police said weren’t life-threatening after a crash on busy Grand Avenue in Ridgefield this morning.

The two were headed south in a Toyota Camry just before 11 a.m. when it collided with an SUV driven by a 72-year-old Leonia man making a left off Slocum Avenue to go north, Ridgefield Police Chief Thomas J. Gallagher told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Airbags in both vehicles deployed, the chief said.

The SUV driver refused medical attention, he said.
