C.A.T.C.H. stands for Coordinated Approach to Child Health. The program is designed to promote physical activity, healthy food choices and the prevention of tobacco use in children.

"The C.A.T.C.H. event was a partnership with the Garfield YMCA," said Lauren Magielnicki, the children's/youth services librarian. "In the beginning, they spoke a little bit about healthy eating. After that they played a few games that taught kids about staying active."

To celebrate "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," the library held classes and played games.

"During the party, children got to pick a wand from Ollivanders Shop," Magielnicki said. "We then went into putting the 'Sorting Hat' on everyone to determine which of the four houses they belonged to in Hogwarts.

"We also held a Charms, Potions, and Dueling Class," she added. "At the end they got to enjoy Butter Beer and Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans."

Children who read more than five books this summer were invited to an end of summer party.

Muscle Man Mike from Fit 4 Kids put on a show entitled "Muscle Man Mike & Hopper Hoops: The Kangaroo Basketball Puppet."

"Muscle Man Mike incorporated magic, music, puppets, and comedy," Magielnicki said. "We also go away certificates and a medal to each child and gave gift certificates to the top three readers from each age group – kindergarten to second grade and third to fifth grade."
