Harrison High Varsity Cheerleaders Qualify For N-a-t-i-o-n-a-l-s

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Three cheers for the varsity cheerleaders from Harrison High School who are going to Nationals.

And additional shoutouts to the 10 cheerleaders who also earned the 2016 Fall Scholar-Athlete Designation from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. This designation requires that the athletes maintain a grade point average of 90 or above while participating in a varsity sport.

The Huskies' varsity cheerleaders punched their ticket to Nationals with a stellar performance at the Regional Competition at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. Nationals will be held in February at the Walt Disney Resorts in Orlando, Fla.

Congratulations to the cheerleading coaches, Julia Brefere and Angeline DiSante, as well as the following cheerleaders who were named fall scholar-athletes:

Cassandra Cruz, Sophia Jacobi, Nicole McAdam, Gianna Menniti, Kayla Moretti, Brianna Pittelli, Mariah Reyes, Adrianna Sacco, Samantha Scoli, Krystal Shaw!
