Manhattanville's LoVetere Named Player of the Week

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Manhattanville College baseball catcher Johnny LoVetere is scorching hot despite the cool winter temperatures.

Through four games, LoVetere is hitting a sizzling .750 (nine for 12) with 10 RBI and five runs scored.

LoVetere was also selected as the Freedom Conference Baseball Player of the Week after his four for four performance in the Valiants season-opening 14-9 win over Alma College.

He also drove in four runs, scored twice and reached base all five times.
