Heavy Rain Stalls Harrison

HARRISON, N.Y. -- Heavy rain and flooding made its way to Westchester County early Sunday morning and resulted in a flash flood warning for the Lower Hudson Valley.

"A slow-moving storm system, which will emerge off the mid-Atlantic coast tonight and slowly track just to the south of Long Island through Monday, is ushering copious amounts of moisture into the tri-state," said the National Weather Service.

The heavy rain made driving throughout the county more dangerous. Consolidated Edison has not reported any power outages for the Harrison area.

The weather on Sunday is expected to include periods of rain from one-to-two inches with possible thunder and a low close to 67 degrees.

Storms should continue into Monday night with heavy rainfull and a cloudy high near 77 degrees.
