An RV fire turned brush fire halted traffic on Interstate 81 near the Maryland and Pennsylvania state lines on Wednesday, authorities told Daily Voice. The RV's brakes caught fire near 14: PA 316 - Wayne Avenue around 2:27 p.m. on Oct. 25, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Fritzi Schreffler explained. The Frederick Police Department has released new details after a person in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a garbage truck earlier this month. Police say that at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, officers from the department were called to the 1200 block of West Patrick Street, where they found 73-year-old Frederick resident William Arthur Whitted, Jr. in the roadway after being struck by the truck.
