Authorities are investigating after a married couple were fatally struck by a car in Allentown on Friday night, May 3, according to officials. Police said the victims were hit near North Main Street and West Chew Street around 8:30 p.m. They were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest and succumbed to their injuries, authorities said. A Bucks County man who pretended to be an attorney for years has been sentenced to prison time and ordered to repay his unsuspecting clients the $26,000 he made off of them, authorities announced. On Friday, May 3, Michael J. A quadruple shooting in a Philadelphia neighborhood left one person dead and three others wounded Saturday night, May 4, police said. Gunfire rang out on the front porch of a home on the 1000 block of South 51 Street around 6:30 p.m., city police said. 89-Year-Old Man Dies Days After Clothes Catch Fire Burning Brush At His PA Home: Coroner
An 89-year-old Pennsylvania man died of serious burns suffered while burning brush at his home last month, officials said. Leo C. Pavelco, of Slatington, was burning brush at his home when his clothing caught fire around 5 p.m. April 22, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. Pavelco was hospitalized with burns covering 30.5% of his body, and died on May 3, just after 8 p.m., at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Buglio said.

CASE: State Police Seek Tips In Media Girl's 1975 Disappearance
Authorities continue to investigate the 1975 disappearance of Wendy Eaton. Eaton was last seen on May 17 of that year near the intersection of Indian Lane and Media Station Road in Media, according to state police. According to a 2021 report by NBC Philadelphia, she was headed into town to buy a gift for her brother when she vanished. In 2021, PSP reportedly told NBC they believed the case was still solvable and that they now considered it a homicide. Crews Called To Overnight House Fire In Paoli
First responders rushed to the scene of a house fire in Paoli just after midnight Friday morning, May 3. The Paoli Fire Company said it happened on the second floor of a home on the 50 block of West Central Avenue. Firefighters were able to place the flames under control in just 20 minutes, officials said. One resident was evaluated by medics at the scene and declined to be taken to the hospital, they added. The cause of the blaze is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office.

Group Comes Under Fire In Abington Park, Police Say
Authorities are investigating after a group of people were shot at in Abington's Crestmont Park. Police said it happened last Saturday, April 27 around 10:15 p.m. The shots missed the victims but damaged their vehicles, officials said. The shooters fled the park in a dark-colored sedan, according to police. "None of the individuals had any idea who would have targeted them for this attack," they noted. Suspect Sought For Stabbing Luzerne County Man In Chest: State Police
Troopers are looking for a man accused of stabbing a Freeland Borough resident in the chest. Authorities said Jahvile Davis-Boyd stabbed the victim at 317 Washington Street on Sept. 17, 2021. He is wanted for felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor simple assault, state police said. Anyone with information can call 1-800-472-8477 or submit a tip to PSP. New York Woman Tried To Smuggle Drugs Into PA Prison, Troopers Say
A Bronx woman is in state police custody after authorities said she tried to bring drugs into a Pennsylvania prison. Natasha Santana, 42, was trying to get the drugs to an inmate at the State Correctional Facility Mahanoy in Frackville, PSP said in a release. She was arrested without incident, they added. Court records show Santana posted 10 percent of her $10,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 9.

Bystander Struck By Gunfire During Pottstown Shootout, Police Say
One alleged gunman and one bystander were hospitalized after an exchange of gunfire in Pottstown on Thursday night, May 2, police say.
